Meet Lucy
My name is Lucy Wellington, and I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to Eden Academy Doreen as Centre Manager. Returning from maternity leave, I bring over 10 years of early childhood experience, including opening new services. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and am completing my Bachelor in Primary and Early Childhood Education.
I am passionate about creating a nurturing, inclusive environment—a true home away from home—where every child feels a sense of belonging and is encouraged to grow, explore, and thrive. I value strong partnerships with families, as your insights are key to supporting your child’s learning and development.

What are your opening and closing hours?
Doreen is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:30pm. We are closed on public holidays. If you have any questions, our team is happy to help.
What are the fees at Eden Academy Doreen?
Most families are entitled to the Child Care Subsidy, which makes early learning significantly more affordable. To get a personalised estimate of your out-of-pocket costs, use our free CCS Calculator. Select your centre, enter a few details, and get your estimated weekly gap fee on the spot. To confirm fees or ask any questions, contact the Beaconsfield team directly.
Are meals included and who prepares the food?
Yes, all meals are included in your fees. Our centre Cook prepares fresh, nutritious meals on-site each day, following a rotating menu designed to meet the dietary needs of young children. We cater for common allergies and dietary requirements, and you’re always welcome to view the weekly menu. All team members involved in food handling complete Food Safety Training.
How will I stay updated on my child's day?
We use OWNA and KindyHub to share daily updates, observations, and photos directly with families. You’ll be able to see what your child has been learning, eating, and exploring, and message the team if you have any questions throughout the day.
