The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps reduce the cost of childcare for Australian families. For the 2026–27 financial year, families earning up to $88,520 may receive up to 90% of childcare fees subsidised (up to the government hourly rate cap). For higher incomes, the subsidy gradually decreases as family income increases.
The subsidy is paid directly to your childcare provider to reduce the fees you pay. If you already receive CCS, your subsidy rate is automatically calculated by Services Australia based on the income estimate you provide.
