Eden Academy founders Chris Sacre and Sean Collins created Eden Academy with the vision of providing children with an environment in which they could flourish, that can feel like an extension of their own home!
For Queensland, that means open-plan classrooms that flow into the outdoor environments. The indoors are crafted with features that you’d expect to see in a home; wooden floors, feature wallpaper and natural finishes.
Why is this important?
We understand that children love the excitement and the experience of the bright and fun colours of a play centre/playground. However, we believe that it is important to provide children with an environment in which they can learn to replicate the life skills and routines that they will encounter in everyday life! This means classrooms that are calming and that can transform throughout the year as the children’s needs change.

Along with the input of the families and staff, our centres come to life when the children arrive! We have plenty of wall space to hang pictures, place up displays and showcase the children’s learning. Family is everything to us, and you will see this reflected all around our centres.

Our Queensland centres are located on Yugambeh, Turrbal, Jagera, Kabi Kabi, and Jinibara land. We would like to acknowledge and pay respects to all the Elders past, present and emerging of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of the land in which we walk, work, live and learn. Indigenous education is a huge part of our curriculum and we place an emphasis on ensuring that the children have access to a plethora of Indigenous resources to explore!

From our morning Acknowledgement Of Country to Indigenous books and art work all throughout our centre, we make every effort to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in our daily routines.

We are always striving to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, so it is important for us to have visits from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities!
